Inside Glacier National Park's museum storage facility is a diverse range of objects and specimens. There are approximately 600,000 items related to Glacier's natural and cultural history within the park collection, including photographic prints and negatives, original Lake McDonald Lodge furnishings, documents, maps, architectural drawings, herbarium specimens, and fossils.
This collection features selected photographs from the Glacier National Park Archives that showcase the history of the park. These images capture the park's mountains, roads, trails, and buildings as well as people that worked and played in its spectacular landscape. Some of the notable photographers represented in this collection are George Grant, Fred Kiser, and T.J. Hileman.
